Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By accessing or using Busbora website, the user agrees to be bound with these terms and conditions (herein “Terms”).

Busbora is a company Limited working as a bus ticketing system provider and intending to connect travelers with bus operators within the United Republic of Tanzania. Through our websites and mobile application (Android and iOs) we enable travelers to access service from the bus operators. Busbora does not own, operate a bus or offer transportation services to the user. Thus, it does not control any service provider or transportation services offered.


Roles of Busbora

  1. The bus ticket issued by Busbora to a user is solely based on information provided or updated by the bus operator on the bus number, seat and route availability on a specific date.
     
  2. Other details including amenities, fares, schedule and any other service pertaining to bus service are provided by the respective bus operator and Busbora has no control over such information provided by the bus operator.
     
  3. Bus tickets issued by Busbora to the users are issued based on the personal information and details of users. Save as expressly agreed by users, BusBora shall not use the users’ information obtained during booking for any other purpose.
     
  4. The Busbora reserves a right of service.
     

Roles of Users

  1. Users are responsible to provide accurate details, particulars and any other information as it may be required by Busbora to facilitate timely booking confirmation.
     
  2. Users are responsible to make payment for his booking within the allocated period of time, failure to comply, the ticket shall not be confirmed and issued.
     
  3. Users are advised to call the bus operator to find out the exact boarding point or any information they may require for the purpose of boarding or particular trip.
     
  4. At the time of boarding users shall be responsible to show a copy of the ticket and any other identity proof if required including but not limited to Citizen ID, Voters ID, Driving License, Passport ID etc.
     
  5. Users are required to arrive at the boarding/pick up point 30 minutes prior the departure time or at any time as advised by the bus operator.

 

Limitation of Liability

Busbora in its services in connecting users and bus operators it shall not be held responsible for the operations of the bus operator including but not limited to the following;

i.           Timely departure or arrival of the bus from and to the destination.

ii.         Unpleasant conduct and behavior of the bus operator’s crew; driver, conductor, employees, agents, or any other representatives.

iii.       The condition of the bus, seats and services etc not being up to the customers expectation or description provided by the bus operator.

iv.        Damages resulted from bus operators’ negligence, accidents etc.

v.         Cancellation of the trip due to any reasons;

vi.        Loss or damage of the baggage of the customer;

vii.      The bus operator changing a customer's seat for any reason whatsoever;

Viii. Refund any successful payment from online sale or agent/counter sale.



Payment method:

  1.  Busbora acknowledges and accepts payment from users by way of mobile wallet (M-pesa, Mix By Yas, Airtel money, halopesa, T-pesa), Banks, credit card, and any other method as it shall be directed. The payment charges according to the Tariffs of the respective service provider.
  2. Busbora has partnered with payment gateway provider “Malipo Mtandao”. The payment gateway provider is responsible for payment collection and fund disbursement.
  3. Upon the successful payment, the payer shall receive a confirmation notification from their designated payment service provider, serving as proof or evidence of the completed transaction. Subsequently, the traveler/payer must receive a ticket notification from Busbora/Bus operator to the mobile number or email address provided at the time of booking.


     4. Busbora is responsible for ticket and support only.
     5. Users bear full responsibility to ensure their punctual arrival and attendance at the designated time and location for boarding. Under no circumstances will a refund be granted in the event of passenger absence, failure to show up, or for any services that remain unused or partially utilized.
 


Changes in Website/App

The Busbora reserves a right to change anything in this website including terms and conditions, privacy policy, cancellation policy and refund policy without informing you and by using this Website you are expected to review these Terms on a regular basis.

Legal Notice

  1. Busbora website nor any of its employees, warrants that the functions contained in this website/App will be uninterrupted or error-free. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of this website is with the user. In no event will Busbora be liable to the user for any damage, including, but not limited to, service interruptions, or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, any lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising out of the operation of or inability to operate this Busbora website/App.
     
  2. Busbora will also not be liable to any action carried out by bus operators’ partners, or any event happens at our partners’ side. For instance, Busbora will not be responsible for any sudden change in buses, schedules, departure date & time, arrival date & time; loss or accident incurred while boarding or travelling with the bus. However, users may give feedback to us, and we will take necessary actions to prevent such things from happening again in the future.
     
  3. Busbora is headquartered in Arusha accordingly, any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising from or related to the use of our services or these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Republic of Tanzania, in accordance with the applicable laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
     
  4. If you do not agree with the Terms and Conditions, please do not access and use the Platform or our Service (defined later) through any means. If you continue to use and/or access the Platform and availing the Services provided by Third Party Operators through the Platform or through any of the Authorised Channels, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the Terms of and conditions.
